The road to the summit is totally unpaved, gravel and rocky, with extremely steep parts. It’s a chairlift service road. 4x4 vehicles only though it’s closed to private vehicles.

Is the road to Pic de Montferrat open year-round? 

Set high in the Pyrenees, the road is totally impassable in winters.
