An epic road to the summit of Col d'Arnostéguy

Col d'Arnostéguy is an international mountain pass at an elevation of 1.240m (4,068ft) above the sea level, located on the Spanish-French border.

The pass links the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in south-western France and the province and autonomous community of Navarre, northern Spain. The summit hosts a big parking lot.

On the French side, the paved road to the summit is very narrow and steep, hitting a 17.9% through some of the ramps. It’s called D428. On the Spanish side, the road is a mule track. 4x4 vehicles only.
