
Fort de la Platte
Fort de la Platte is a military fortress at an elevation of 2.009m (6,591ft) above the sea level, located in the Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.
The road to the fortress is gravel, steep, really narrow and full of hairpin turns. Impassable after rains or snowfalls. The fortress was built between 1892 and 1894. 4x4 vehicles recommended.
