Roche Madeleine
Roche Madeleine is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.370m (7,775ft) above the sea level located in the French Alps, near the border with Italy, within the Mercantour National Park on the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
The road to the summit is gravel and rocky. It’s narrow, steep, slippery and muddy after wet and impassable in winters. It runs parallel to Route de la Bonette (D64) and the track is blocked sometimes due to military exercises. 4x4 vehicle required.
