The brutal climb to Station de Valdrome with 15% ramps

Station de Valdrôme is a resort at an elevation of 1.318m (4,324ft) above the sea level, located in the Drôme department, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, of France.

Set high in the pre-Alpine massif of Haut-Diois, the road to the resort is totally paved. It’s called D806. Starting at Valdrôme, the road is 8.6 km (5.34 miles) long.

Tucked away in the southeastern, part of the country, the road to the summit is very steep, hitting a 15% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Starting at Valdrôme, the elevation gain is 612 meters. The average gradient is 7.11%.
