Ice road located in Kallavesi, a lake in Northern Savonia, eastern Finland located around the town of Kuopio.

Kuopio is surrounded by numerous lakes forming labyrinthine area, which is characteristic of the Finnish Lakeland. Kuopio is a city and a municipality located in the region of Northern Savonia, Finland, and it’s the ninth biggest city in the country.
Combined with the lakes Suvasvesi,Juurusvesi, Muuruvesi, Melavesi, and Riistavesi Kallavesi forms an 890 square kilometres (340 sq mi) lake system named Iso-Kalla. The average depth of the lake is 8.9 meters and the maximum depth is 75 meters.

The following limits apply to ice roads:

-Weight limit 3 t (3.0 long tons; 3.3 short tons) (may be raised if ice is thick enough)
-Speed limit 50 km/h (31 mph)
-Minimum space of 50 m (164 ft) between cars traveling in the same direction
-Overtaking is prohibited.
-Stopping is forbidden
