Skúvoyarfjall is a mountain peak located on the island of Sandoy, in the Faroe Islands. A gravel road near the peak climbs up to 307m (1,007ft) above sea level.

The peak is located near the village of Dalur, on the southern part of the island of Sandoy.

Is the road to Skúvoyarfjall unpaved?

The road to the summit is totally unpaved and comprises grassy and rocky sections. A 4x4 vehicle is required. The drive comprises steep parts, very narrow sections that are totally impassable for two average cars at the same time, and a few hairpin turns, making the drive more challenging.

How long is the road to Skúvoyarfjall?

Starting from Dalur, the road to the peak is 4.3km (2.67 miles) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 270 m and the average gradient is 6.27%. Running through grasslands and mountains, the drive is extremely scenic.
