Beachy Head Road

Beachy Head Road is a great coastal route on England’s southeast coast. Stunning views but take extra care on windy days.

Beachy Head Road

The road is asphalted. It’s 5.95km (3.7 miles) long and links Birling Gap and Eastbourne, a resort town. The landscapes and seascapes combine to produce phenomenal views. There are tight and twisty sections as the road carves through the landscape.
The drive offers gorgeous sea views along the way. The surface of the road was improved on 2016. The road does get busier at weekends and in the main holiday season. It is very popular with motorists and every day countless vehicles drive and park on this section.

It is one of England's most famous TV, commercials and film locations: Harry Potter - The Goblet of Fire, Wheeler Dealers show, The Living Daylights, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The road is subject to strong winds. High winds blow here all year long. On a sunny day the views are incredible. It's a load of cliffs overlooking the English Channel, it's quite high so dont fall off!
