Set high in the Alps, the road to the summit, also known as Piller Sattel or Pillersattel, is totally paved. It’s called Piller Landesstraße and runs through a natural park-like landscape. The road is narrow and steep in parts, hitting a brutal 19.1% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.

How long is Pillerhöhe in Austria?

Tucked away on the western part of the country, the pass is 23.5 km (14.60 miles) long, running from Fließ (in the Landeck district) to Arzl im Pitztal (in the district of Imst). Just a little south of the summit, the "Gacher Blick" viewing point offers a wonderful view over the Inn Valley.
