A steep paved road to Arinsal ski resort

Arinsal is a ski resort at an elevation of 1.922m (6,305ft) above the sea level, located in the parish of La Massana, in the Principality of Andorra.

Set high in the Pyrenees mountain range, the road to the summit is totally paved but narrow in parts. It’s called CS-413 (Carretera de Comallempla). The drive is very scenic, with some fantastic views surrounded by mountains.

The road to the summit is very steep, hitting a 19.2% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Starting at CG-5 road, the ascent is 4.5 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 375 meters. The average gradient is 8.33%.
