An iconic paved road to Llac d'Engolasters

Llac d'Engolasters is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 1.616m (5,302ft) above the sea level, located in the Encamp parish of Andorra.

The road to the lake is called CS-200. It’s asphalted but includes some steep sections (up to 12.3%). Starting from CG-2 road, the ascent is 6,5 km long with 13 hairpin turns. Over this distance the elevation gain is 482 meters. The average gradient is 7.41%.

The road surface is in very good condition throughout. There is generally little traffic on the climb, but it does get busier at weekends and in the main holiday season. Open to traffic throughout the year, may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad.
