Travel guide to the top of Jankov Kamen
Jankov Kamen (Janko’s stone) is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 1.833m (6,013ft) above the sea level, located in the Moravica District of southwestern Serbia.
Tucked away in the Golija mountain, the road to the summit is totally unpaved dry and rocky. 4x4 vehicle required. The best time to drive is during Summer, late Spring or Fall. Before the ride check the snow conditions. Strong wind can make snow-drifts even 15m thick. Upper plateau is under the snow from November till April - in hidden parts snow remains whole year.
Located within the Golija Nature Park, the summit is crowned with a communication tower with adorable views of the Pešter plateau. Starting from the paved Road 198, the road is 1.38 km (4,518 ft) long.
