
Pasul Groapa Seaca
The Groapa Seaca pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.595m (5,232ft) above the sea level located in Hunedoara County, Romania.
The road to the summit is called DN7A. It’s mostly paved with some gravel sections. It’s curvy and steep. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice. Starting from Petroşani, the ascent is 17.5 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 845 meters. The average percentage is 4.8 %.
