P16

P16, a scenic road with stunning views of Skadar Lake

P16 is a very scenic drive in southern Montenegro. The road is fully paved and offers amazing views of the Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula.

The road features many steep and narrow sections. It’s 51.2km (31.81 miles) long and links Virpazar, a town in the Bar municipality and Vladimir. The drive offers sustained views of Skadar Lake.

Its many twists, turns and narrows can pose a challenge to even the most experienced drivers. The road is not easy, though. Up, down, right, left all the time. The narrow road make for some tough passes in places if you meet oncoming traffic. Also, a number of blind corners should be taken slowly. The road is a delight to drive, with every kind of twist and turn. The drive is very scenic with old villages along the way. This road offers a drive as difficult as it is beautiful.
