Veliki Štuoc is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.093m (6,866ft) above the sea level, located within the Durmitor National Park, in northwestern Montenegro.
The narrow road to reach the pass is mostly paved. The final 1.8km to the pass, beyond the junction with the main road, the surface is gravel, and impassable for passenger cars. The summit offers stunning views of the Tara canyon, the wide plateau village of Tepča and the cliffs of the Ćurevac peak.
This road can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. The climb is pretty steep. Starting from Bosača, the ascent is 7.4 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 508 meters. The average gradient is 6.86%.
