Stogovo

Driving the wild road to Stogovo

Stogovo is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 1.900m (6,233ft) above the sea level, located in the western part of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The road to the summit, located between the valley of the River Black Drin to the west and the River Sateska to the east, is totally unpaved. The road is impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep, with sections up to 20%. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. At the summit there’s a communication tower.
