What are the most spectacular roads in Kosovo?

Located in the heart of Southeast Europe, Kosovo is a jewel in the Balkans, with mountainous and hilly parts, that offers a true paradise for drivers of mountain roads. Remember when travelling to the country to exercise a high degree of caution due to the potential for politically motivated violence, especially in the northern municipalities.

For those in love with paved narrow roads, you can’t miss the winding road through Rugova Gorge, beyond the town of Peja, in the region of Rugova. It’s one of the most spectacular areas in the Balkans, where granite walls rise 609 meters (2,000 feet) above the Drini River.

But if you prefer driving on unpaved mountain roads, don’t miss the dangerous drive through Radika Pass, at 1,925m (6,315ft) above sea level in the Gora region of the country. It’s also worth driving through Pančić's Peak, ending at 2,017m (6,617ft) above sea level, located on the border with Serbia.
