Mount Kudebi, a wild road only for experienced drivers

Mount Kudebi is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.991m (9,812ft) above the sea level, located in the Stepantsminda District, in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of eastern Georgia. It's one of the highest roads of Europe.

Set high in the Gudauri mountains on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range, the road to Mt. Kudebi is totally unpaved. It’s a service access road. Accessibility is largely limited to the summer season. It’s one of the highest roads of Georgia.

Located around 120km north of the capital Tbilisi, 4x4 vehicles only. The road is closed to private vehicles. The lift belongs to the resort of Gudauri along the Georgian Military Highway near the Jvari Pass. The road is extremely steep. Starting at Gudauri Ski Resort, the elevation gain is 900 meters.
