Zlaté Návrší, a steep paved climb in the Czech Republic

Zlaté Návrší is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1.411m (4,629ft) above the sea level, located in the Krkonoše, a mountain range located in the north of the Czech Republic, part of the Sudetes mountain system.

The road to reach the summit is asphalted, but the tarmac conditions are not great higher up the mountain. The steepest whole kilometre is at 10%. Starting from Hrabačov, the ascent is 23 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 973 meters. The average percentage is 4.2 %. The final 8km are at 7,7%.
