Vihren Chalet is a high mountain refuge at an elevation of 1.981m (6,499ft) above the sea level, located in southwestern Bulgaria.
The road to the summit, located within the Pirin Mountains mountain range, is asphalted but pretty narrow and steep. It’s usually impassable in winters. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. The hut was built in 1941.
