The road through the canyon is fully paved. It’s called M17, part of the European Route E73. The curvy and winding road follows the Neretva River through its magnificent canyon.

How long is the road through Neretva Canyon?

The drive is 49 km (30 miles) long, running south to north from Mostar (a city known for the iconic Stari Most, a reconstructed medieval arched bridge) to Jablanica. Be careful: the road can get busier and more crowded on weekends and during the main holiday season.
