
Liqeni i Madh
Liqeni i Madh is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 1.740m (5,708ft) above the sea level, located in Dibër County, in northeastern Albania.
The road to the lake, located within the Lura National Park, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is usually impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 recommended. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Starting from SH34 road, at 1.068m above the sea level, the road is 8.5 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 672 meters and the average gradient is 7,90%. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road.
