A hairpinned road to the summit of Leqet e Hotit

Leqet e Hotit is a mountain pass at an elevation of 684m (2,244ft) above the sea level, located in Shkodër County, in northern Albania.

The road to the summit is the challenging SH20. It’s very steep (7% average gradient) with countless hairpin turns. The road is completely paved now and is in really good shape. It is frequented by many cyclists and motorcyclists.

When it snows really heavily it may get closed. The pass is 16.4 km (10.19 miles) long, running from Rrapshë to Tamarë in the former Kelmend municipality.
