How long is the road to Arenal Volcano National Park Visitor Center?

Located in the northern part of the country, the road to the visitor center is totally paved. It ends on the main parking lot of the lava flow trail sector at 634m (2,080ft) above the sea level. Starting on the main Ruta Nacional Secundaria 142, the drive is 3.4 km (2.11 miles) long.

Located within the Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal, the road offers stunning views of Arenal volcano, one of the most active volcanoes located of Central America. The Arenal Volcano is definitely the icon of the area. With an altitude of 1633 meters above sea level, this stratovolcano stands out due to its almost perfect conical shape, visible from many kilometers around it.
