Dove Lake

A sensational road to Dove Lake

Dove Lake is a glacially carved lake at an elevation of 945m (3,100ft) above the sea level, located in the central highlands region of Tasmania, Australia.

Nestled at the foot of Cradle Mountain, at the northern end of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, the road to the lake is called Cradle Mountain Road. It’s totally paved and very scenic. Caravans, campervans, motorhomes and trailers, as well as vehicles over 6.5 tons and/or vehicles over 8 meters in length are not permitted in the National Park.

Nestled in the Dove River Conservation Area, the road is 12.5 km (7.76 miles) long, starting from C132 Road. The road ends on a big parking lot. However, parking may be limited.
