Where is the Wielangta Forest Drive?

The road is located in the southeastern part of the island, within the Wielangta Forest Reserve. It’s a shortcut between the Tasman Peninsula and the East Coast.

Is the Wielangta Forest Drive unpaved?

The road is totally unpaved, and a 4x4 vehicle is required. There are areas along the track which are poorly maintained. Please note it is a gravel road if you are in a hire vehicle.

How long is the Wielangta Forest Drive?

The road is 20km (12.42 miles) long, running south–north from Dunalley to Orford through tall eucalypts.
