Henderson Bay Road
Henderson Bay Road is a short metal road connecting Henderson Bay to the State Highway 1. This very quiet little road is 6km long and is located north of Kaitaia, the northern most city in New Zealand.
The drive is definitely worth it. There are many excellent photo opportunities here. Don’t forget your camera! You need to take your time and try not to be distracted by the tantalizing glimpses of the harbour to the right of you as you travel along this road. On the left you will also glimpse sweeping vistas of the ocean and white sand beaches, and on a clear day you can see right up to north cape, the northern most point of New Zealand.
