Cooloola Beach Drive is one of the longest beach roads in the world
Located in the Gympie Region of Queensland in Australia, Cooloola Beach Drive is one of the longest beach drives in the world.
The one way road is 60km long running along the stunning coastline and cruises the majestic sweep of Cooloola’s long white beaches. The track is sandy and rough. It’s suitable for high clearance 4WD vehicles only. All vehicles must be registered and have a valid Cooloola Recreation Area vehicle access permit (VAP) displayed on their windscreen when traversing designated tracks and beach areas.
Located within the Great Sandy National Park, it’s said to be one of the longest beach drives in the world. The road runs from Noosa North Shore to the township of Rainbow Beach. The drive is dangerous due the washouts.
