The road from Malabrigo to Laiya allows to sense the scent of the ocean
Malabrigo-Laiya is a short coastal dirt track located in Batangas, on the southwestern part of Philippines.
The road is 23.8 km long. The surface is very poor (but it's being completely asphalted). It links the municipalities of Malabrigo and Laiya. Even from the road, it’s possible to sense the scent of the ocean.
The road includes some paved sections at the beginning. After rain, even a single rainfall, conditions of the road can be challenging. Adverse weather conditions can prompt closure of the road. Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable.
