Many tourists enjoy capturing the stunning vistas through photography, making it a popular location for social media enthusiasts.

The road to the lake is mostly paved, but narrow, and it has a few unpaved sections, being a bit bumpy. It can be unnerving for many drivers, as it runs above the lake, with no protections or guardrails at the edge. Part of the Deosai Park Road, the road is called Satpara Road.

How long is the road to Satpara Lake?

The road through the lake is 13.6 km (8.45 miles) long, running north-south from Skardu to Sadpara. Be prepared for cooler temperatures and possible altitude sickness if not acclimatized.
