Most of the road is paved and runs parallel to the Swat River. Part of the main N-95 route, the road is 34.8 km (21.62 miles) long. Plan about a 5-hour drive without stops.

Can I drive my vehicle on the road from Bahrain to Kalam?

While it's open to all motorized vehicles, a 4-wheel drive is highly recommended. The road can be extremely challenging; attempt it in a 2wd car only if you're ready to part with it.
