
Jhun Gali, an iconic paved road in Pakistan
Jhun Gali is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.261m (7,417ft) above the sea level, located in the district of Azad Kashmir, in Pakistan.
The winding mountain road to the summit is called Sudhan Galli Road. It’s pretty steep and narrow in parts. The pass sits near Sudhan Gali, a famous mountain village. This beautiful, scenic place attracts hundreds of tourists from all over Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. The drive offers stunning views into the forest.
The road runs north-south from S3 road near Hattian Bala (in Hattian Bala District) to Bagh City (Bagh District). It’s 52.5 km (32 mile) long. Starting from Bagh, the ascent is 22,24 km long. The average gradient is 5,5% with a 10% of maximum gradient.
