An epic drive to Ulan Daba

Ulan Daba is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.197m (10,488ft) above the sea level located on the boundary of Khovd and Bayan-Ölgii Provinces, in western Mongolia.

Nestled in the Altai Mountains, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. It’s also known as Ulaan Dabaa, Ulaan Davaa, Ulaan Dawaa, Ulan-Daba, Uran daba Toge and Uran daba Tōge. 4x4 vehicle required. The pass is 107 km (66 miles) long running from Bosgo (in Khovd Province) to Jargalant, also known as Bulgan (in Bayan-Ölgii Province). Accessibility is largely limited to the summer season.
