The pass is located north of Song-Kul Lake, in Kochkor district, in the northern-central part of the country.

Is Kyzart Pass paved?

The road to the pass is called A367 Road. It has been improved in recent years, and now it’s almost all paved and drivable by most passenger vehicles.

How long is Kyzart Pass?

The road through the pass is 46km (28.5 miles) long, running west-east from Kyzart (a village in Jumgal District) to Cholpon (a village in Kochkor District). At this high altitude, significant snow accumulation occurs in winter, often closing the road from October to March.
