A truly outstanding 4x4 adventure to Gholleh Siah Sang
Gholleh Siah Sang is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3,527m (11,571ft) above sea level, located in Iran.

Where is Gholleh Siah Sang?
The pass, which means "Black Stone Peak" or "Black Rock Summit", is located north of Tehran on the boundary between Alborz and Tehran provinces, in the northern part of the country.
Is the Road to Gholleh Siah Sang Unpaved?
The road to the summit is totally unpaved and comprises steep sections, narrow parts, and a series of hairpin turns. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Due to the difficulty of the road, it was bypassed by a tunnel known as Taloun Pilot Tunnel.
How Long is the Road Through Gholleh Siah Sang?
The road through the pass is 26km (16 miles) long, running south-north from Sangan to Laniz. At the summit, there are a few communication towers and facilities.
