Jot Pass, an awe-inspiring road

Jot Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.440m (8,005ft) above the sea level, located in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

Located in the Dhauladhar mountain range, the winding mountain road to the summit is paved. The drive offers stunning views. There is a picnic area on the top with great panoramic views. During the winter months, it remains covered in thick snow and is closed for vehicles. The route re-opens in the summers.

The road to the summit runs north-south from the village of Randoh to Pukhri. It’s 26.8 km long. The road is pretty steep, with a 15% of maximum gradient.
