Located in the Dhauladhar mountain range, the winding mountain road to the summit is mostly paved. The drive offers stunning views. There is a picnic area on the top with great panoramic views. During the winter months, it remains covered in thick snow and is closed for vehicles. The route re-opens in the summers.
The road to the summit runs north-south from the village of Randoh to Pukhri. It’s 26.8 km (16.65 miles) long. The road is pretty steep, with a 15% of maximum gradient.
