An awe-inspiring road to Jot Pass in Himachal Pradesh

Jot Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,440m (8,005ft) above sea level, located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

Where is Jot Pass?

The pass is located in the northern part of the country. The drive offers stunning views. There is a picnic area at the top with great panoramic views.

Is Jot Pass open in winter?

Located in the Dhauladhar mountain range, during the winter months, it remains covered in thick snow and is closed to vehicles. The route reopens in the summer.

How long is Jot Pass?

The winding mountain road to the summit is mostly paved. It’s 26.8 km (16.65 miles) long, running north-south from the village of Randoh to Pukhri. The road is pretty steep, with a 15% maximum gradient.
