The pass, also known as Jueba Mountain Pass, is located in Markam County, a county under the jurisdiction of Chamdo. The summit offers a breathtaking scenery. The pass is marked by prayer flags.

The road through the pass is called China National Highway 318, also known as China-Nepal Highway and the Friendship Highway. The road is fully paved yet, very defiant, with 20 hairpin turns and countless curves. It has very steep parts.
How long is Juetu La?
