Located in the southern part of the country, the road crosses Kyirong (Gyirong) and Nyalam counties, of the Shigatse Prefecture.

The road was recently paved. It’s in very good condition, though it comprises many curves and steep sections.

How long is 214 County Road?

It’s 153 km long, running north-southeast from G219 to G318. Along the way, the road provides great views of some lakes, including Paiku Co, Langqiang Co and Baikumai Co. 

Is 214 County Road open year-round?

Set high on the Tibetan Plateau, the road tops out at 4.926m (16,161ft) above sea level. At these elevations, the road can be blocked anytime due to heavy snowfalls.
