Where is Wuyishan Pass?

The pass is located in Daocheng County in the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, in the southern part of the country.

Is the road to Wuyishan Pass unpaved?

The road to the summit is total unpaved. It’s called 217 Provincial Road (S217). The road features narrow parts, steep sections and 18 sharp hairpin turns. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

How long is the road through Wuyishan Pass?

The road through the pass is 20.0 km long, running west-east from Dayong Village (in

Xiangcheng County) to Gulou (in Daocheng County).

Is the road to Wuyishan Pass open year-round?

Set high in the Hengduan Mountains, the pass receives heavy snowfalls in winters, and closures are common.
