Is the Tso-Le Road open in winters?
Set high in the Himalaya, the road tops out at 5.119m (16,794ft) above sea level. At this elevation, the road is buried under deep snow and ice for most of the year, making it completely impassable. Even in summer, sudden blizzards can occur. During the snowmelt season, the ground can become soft and slippery.
