Where is Chuseng La?

The lake, also known as Quseng La, is located in Ngari Prefecture in the northwest of the Tibet Autonomous Region, bordering Xinjiang to the north, in the southwestern part of the country. The area is pretty remote, so extreme care is required. The name of the lake means "Desolate Lake".

Is the road to Chuseng La unpaved?

The remote road to the summit is totally unpaved and a 4x4 vehicle is required. The drive offers stunning views of Tong Tso (Dong Co), a plateau lake.

How long is the road to Chuseng La?

The road to the summit is about 45km long, starting from the paved S301 (301 Provincial Road).
