Dare to drive the dangerous road to Chiasa La

Chiasa La is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.887m (16,033ft) above the sea level, located in Yushu County, in Qinghai Province of China.

The road to the summit, also known as Dagela Shan, is totally unpaved. 4x4 vehicle required. Accessibility is largely limited to the summer season. Facilities like electricity, medical aid, hot running water, western toilets etc. are rare to find. The pass is 68.7km (42 miles) long, running north-south from Tielijiaoxiang (Yushu, Qinghai) to Xiaosumangxiang (Yushu, Qinghai).
