Langla La

Langla La is an epic climb in the Tibet

Langla La is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.538m (14,888ft) above the sea level, located in the Chamdo Prefecture in the Tibet Autonomous Region, China.

The road to the summit, also known as Chomo La, is totally paved. It’s called G214 (China National Highway 214). The road is winding, with a series of wide bends that will lead you to the summit.

Open to traffic throughout the year, may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad. The pass is 57km (35 miles) long, running from the villages of Jitangzhen towards Yiqingxiang. Remember this is a mountainous area, climbing up a high mountain, with a notorius absence of oxygen
