The road is fully paved yet pretty steep. It’s 46 km (28 miles) long and runs east-west from Giləzi (a village and the most populous municipality in the Khizi Rayon on the Caspian Sea, at an elevation of -4 m above sea level) to Altiaghach (a small town at an elevation of 1,090 m above sea level). It comprises narrow parts and very steep sections, reaching a maximum gradient of 10% on some of the ramps.
