Aqabat Thirah is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.267m (7,437ft) above the sea level located on the boundary of Al Bayda’ and Abyan Governorates, in south-western Yemen.
The road to the summit, also known as Lawdar Pass, is totally paved. It’s called Road N6. The road is very winding and challenging, with uncountable turns and twists and 34 sharp switchbacks.The pass is 51.6km long running from Al Bayda, a town in the Governorate of Al-Bayda' to Lawdar, a town and seat of Lawdar District.
