Mokobulaan Pass

Mokobulaan Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.921m (6,302ft) above the sea level, located in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.

Located within the Mokobulaan Nature Reserve, the road to the summit is gravel. It links Lydenburg and Sudwala. Only 4wd vehicles. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. It’s steep, with sections up to 1:4. This track can get very muddy and slippery after rain making it challenging to get through. This one will be slippery when wet and lethal when it snows. During and after a storm the road may be impassable, even with a four-wheel-drive vehicle. This route should not be attempted by inexperienced off-road drivers or in a single vehicle.
