
Beware of landmines on the road to Sheikh Pass
Sheikh Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.497m (4,911ft) above the sea level, located in the northwestern Sahil province of Somaliland, in Somalia.
The winding road to the summit, also known as Shiikh pass, is paved but pretty steep. Beware of landmines. The views from the summit are stunning.
Set high in the Sheirk mountains, the pass road is 13.9 km (8.63 miles) long, running north-south from Laaleys to Sheikh, also known as Shiikh.
