A wild unpaved steep road to Tizi n’Termant

Tizi n’Termant is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.960m (9,711ft) above the sea level, located in Drâa-Tafilalet region of central Morocco, in Midelt Province. It’s one of the highest mountain roads of the country.

Set high in the Atlas Mountains range, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. 4x4 vehicles required. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. The road to the summit is very steep, hitting a 14% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Starting at Bou Azmou, the ascent is 8.9 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 710 meters. The average gradient is 7.97%.
