Tizi Tigdane is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.006m (9,862ft) above sea level, located in the Drâa-Tafilalet region of Morocco. It’s one of the highest roads of Morocco.

The road through the pass is totally unpaved. 10 hairpin turns carry the gently graded piste higher and higher. 4x4 vehicles only.

How long is the road to Tizi Tigdane?

The road is 10.3 km long, starting and ending at the mostly paved R317 road, north of Tizi n’Ait Hamad. It runs through a dramatic gorge and the climb is unrelenting.

Is the road to Tizi Tigdane open in winter?

Set high in the High Atlas mountain range, the road is totally blocked in winters due to heavy snowfalls.
