
Driving the road to Aguerdn’Zegzaoun Pass is not a piece of cake
Tizi n’Aguerd n’Zegzaoun is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.639m (8,658ft) above the sea level, located in the Tinghir Province of Morocco in the Drâa-Tafilalet Region. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
Tucked away in the central part of the country, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. A 4x4 vehicle is required. Near the summit is a mountain refuge known as Albergue Taghrot.
The pass is 39.7km (24.66 miles) long, running east-west from Tamtetoucht to Ait Marghad. If you do choose this route please check up to date information.
